Personally I wouldn't go to Abbot's on a bet, I don't like lobster, and if you don't there is not reason at all to go there, That said, I just think that there prices are a little high considering what you get. A boiled lobster and a bag of chips is not a great meal. There is a nice Restaurant in Mystic at the Sea Port (http://www.mysticseaport.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.viewPage&page_id=E8C11EBC-B0D0-D05E-1AB1DA1149E4480A) They have a large dining room, which would fit your needs. You can check out there menu from the site. Also there is a place right near the end of the Mystic Village called The Steak Loft which is also good. (http://www.steakloftct.com/) There are a couple of places near the down town area but I am not sure how many people they can accommodate. Hope this gives you some information you can use. Earle Ct.

I love lobster, and, despite that, wouldn't recommend Abbott's. I'll admit to never actually having had a whole lobster there, but their lobster roll was mightily disappointing. Cove Fish is more known for its fried offerings, but the lobster rolls beat Abbott's hands down (as does everything else they offer). The only advantage Abbott's has over Cove is the view. Unfortunately, Abbott's has the sort of view that comes with plenty of mosquitoes on an August evening
