Other uses for BBQs

The kids and I just got done doing smores on the Webber, any other uses for the BBQ that are out of the ordinary?

  1. Not necessarily out of the ordinary, but, I like using the side burner on our Weber gas grill for deep frying.

    Great consistent heat with no thermostat going on and off. Smoke and smells are kept outside.

    1. Hmmmm, Some people convert their rotisserie grill to roast coffee beans. Well, you asked!

      1. For something to do with kids, try a banana split. You need foil, bananas, mashmallow, chocolate bars. Slice banana lenghtwise while still in the skin. Put it on top of a piece of foil. Stick cut up marshmallows (or tiny) and chocolate into the slit, then wrap up tightly in the foil. Grill 'em and serve with ice cream. Kids also like making their own veggie packets. Use big pieces of heavy-duty foil and sliced veggies -- potatos, onions and carrots work well, also zucchini. Add a pat of butter, then seal very well. Everyone gets their own packet. There are loads of variations on this, some even with meat, so just start googling.

        You can also look for grilled pizza recipies -- another good thing to do with kids.

          1. Whenever we do blackened anything, we do it outside on the grill. No problem getting the pan hot enough, and no problem with smoke...
