Need a restaurant
I am leaving on a cruise from Seattle on Saturday, August 16. Coming from New Jersey and would like to sample Seattle's local food. Staying at the Ramada at 5th & Blanchard on 8/14 and 8/15 before the cruise. After the cruise staying at The Edgewater @ Pier 67 for one night. Need recommendations for the three nights.

hi john ... if you are intown for a few days & there are just a few of you ..maybe you are here on a weekend? if so, you may want to try the Corson Bldg..it will be fun & the food will be great ... another place you may want to try is Boat Street maybe for brunch (or dinner?) after you wander through the sculpture park from the Edgewater.

re: staffstuff
really? I ate there over a year ago, and while it was lovely, and the fish was fresh, but the preparations were nothing special and I have no recollection of what I ate (except that I remember it wasn't cheap). The view is nice, but I've never thought of it as a not miss. What do you think is so special about it? TIA

John, Each year Seattle's Chowhounds do a formal poll on Chowhound and vote for their favorite Chow destinations. Here is the top 10 from 2007:
Harvest Vine
Lark
Green Leaf
Union
Salumi
Volterra
Boat Street
Tamarind Tree
La Carta Oaxaca
PaseoHarvest Vine is first on my list as well. You'll need reservations. Enjoy!
