Run, don't walk, for Lola's Coconut Macaroons today
Wow, it was great. Coconut / meringue, with a chocolate drizzle. Maybe really not a macaroon, but whatever it was, it was fantastic. Who knows how many hours they will be left. Today's baked goods looked great (as per usual, but even better than usual). The blueberry pie would have gone home with me if it wasn't so big, and for the first time I've seen it, there was a peach upside-down cake that it took every ounce of willpower not to buy.

That blueberry pie when they have it is the best in the bay area. Sometimes if you go early they have smaller pies, but if not, that the big pie is a great splurge.

re: Glencora
Yeah, the crisps are not in the same class as the blueberry pie.
Donna and John run this restaurant mainly on their lonesome with a helper now and then. That means extremely long hours.I personally am not personable. So I often get dinged. for seeming crabby. I'm really shy. Donna and John do not have sparkly personalities, but the food is good. If you don't bug them a lot they will chat to a limited extent. She probably just forgot that a few years ago they made the small version of the blueberry pie.
