Fresh fish in Myrtle Beach?

With the big, blue Atlantic right at the doorstep there has to be some serious sea food in the Myrtle Beach area. We wish to avoid the fry-alls and the chains, though I kinda like Bonefish Grill. I'm thinking real fresh fish without a lot of fancy sauce but maybe an imaginative side or two. We'll be staying in Garden City a bit south of MYR airport but we have wheels and are ready to drive a few miles if that's what it takes. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi. For a great seafood meal, drive to Georgetown and dine at the River Room...no reservations, great view...you'll love it...not too far from Garden City. If you want to stay closer, go to Russells In Murrells Inlet. Good luck!!!

Lee's Inlet Kitchen just down the road from you, in Murrell's Inlet, has been there forever, serving the best seafood in the area. When I was a child, a million years ago, my father had a house at Garden City and Lee's was always a must. Some of the best homeade desserts, as well.
