Affordable OC King Crab?

So far, I've found Joe's crab shack to be the most affordable but the weekend atmosphere makes me lose my appetite. Can't The Macarena die already? Any suggestions?

Yeah, we went to Amber Waves on Saturday. The buffet is now 24.95. They didn't have enough menus for the four of us, so our two friends had menus. They saw that a cobb salad was all of 22.00. For cobb salad. I'm unsure how they ran out of menus as the dining room was a quarter full. That never bodes well, and there was good reason for that. The buffet looked sorry at best. Two skinny tiny crab legs swimming in dirty briney water. No one around to refill the dish. The prime rib looked ok, but there was no one there to carve it. Rare meat uncovered and unattended did not fill me with the utmost confidence. The only thing that looked remotely edible on the line was the garlic bread. I'm not spending 24.95 on garlic bread.

We bolted out of there, spent 3 more dollars each at Joe's Crab Shack and got plenty to eat. Again, I hate the atmosphere, but if the only thing that's cheaper is a sorry excuse for food, I'll brave it.

I haven't been but there has been some positive comments on Chowhound about All-You-Can-Eat Prime Rib and King Crab at Amber Waves in Buena Park:
