Weekday lunch Higgens or Wildwood

I will be flying in from Miami to attend a wedding near Hood River. Since I have never been to Portland I wanted to stop and have lunch on the way. I am looking for the best luncheon restaurant serving Paccific Northwest food.

I'm with Higgins. I usually like to sit in the bar to eat, comfortable, causal but the same great food.

There's a cool exhibit at the museum right now of Native NW Contemporary Art. Definitely check it out if you have the time.

I'd take Higgins over Wildwood most days. Plus, you can sit at the Higgins bar and enjoy an amazing beer selection - definitely one of the best, if not the best, in Portland.

Unless of course The Portland Art Museum is a draw (it's cool) then the Higgins suggestion is a good second.

Wildwood is just a notch above I feel.

Both are good and you will enjoy which ever you choose.

Another draw for Wildwood is the 23rd shopping district and its proximity to the Pearl district which is interesting and has a couple noteworthy parks! Have fun.

I vote for Wildwood. Great burger, fabulous salads, best crab cakes I have ever had. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny.

Higgins is an excellent lunch choice. I'd go there if I were you. After lunch (or before), you can check out the Portland art Museum or the Oregon Historical Society, both within four blocks walk.
