Weekday Breakfast - Yonge and Sheppard

I have searched the board and realize that not much is available in this area. I am willing to drive but don't want to go downtown. Ideally it would be somewhere relaxed but I am tired of Whimpy's. Any suggestions would be great.

Good luck. What ever you do, don't go to John Anderson's on Yonge, just north of Finch. I've eaten breakfast there once and once more at it's former location. Cheap yes, Good no.

There's Cora's but I don't find it relaxing at all (on a sunday morning it was like a zoo), plus prices are a bit high and people generally dislike it compared to the original ones in other cities.

I haven't tried a little one nearby where I work called Sunspot cafe(I think). It's located next to Taro's fish on Sheppard E. east of bayview (next to Sheridan nurseries).

I agree thought that pickings are rather slim in this area...

Is there a "Homestyle" on Mt Pleasant between Lawrence and Eglington? I drive by there all the time on my way to Jules to pickup my sunday morning croissants and see it busy a few times. I might have the name wrong though, since I can't find it online anywhere.

Homeway is one of our go to breakfast spots and I definitely recommend it. If you are looking for something closer to Yonge/Sheppard, the Greek restaurant on the East side of Yonge, just north of the 401 does serve breakfast on the weekends. It's not fantastic by any stretch, but if you're looking for bacon and eggs, it's passable (and close).

Recommend the Mirage Cafe at the Sheppard Centre...pretty sure they have a breakfast menu. I've only been there for lunch.

Sadly there isn't that many options over there that I am aware of.

Milestone's for slightly more expensive stuff.
Sierra Grill at Bayview Village is decent
Ikea is actually not bad for pure cheapness sakes.
            Pickle Barrell at Centrepoint (Yonge/Steeles)
Depending on what time you want to eat, Congee Wong for congee opens at 10

Again, none of these are fantastic choices, but something different none the less. If I'm going for breakfast in that area, I usually hit Wimpys :P
