Animal Review

PD Girl Aug 6, 2008 08:45 PM

I went last to Animal last night before the Hollywood Bowl. We had a terrific meal. We got there at 6 when they opened and were the first party in there. The server was great and let us taste the wine before we ordered.

For dinner, we shared the ribs as a starter. The ribs were really tender and the bread salad they came with was very tasty. For the mains we shared the Monkfish and the Quail fry. The monkfish was one of the best fish preparations I have had and we both enjoyed the quail. (Especially the grits). We had a bottle of Inniskillin Ice Wine for desert and were too full anyways, so we skipped desert.

Since we were the first people in we did not have any problems noise.

I would heartily recommend Animal and am looking forward to a return visit.

Sounds great! So glad to hear another report. And just wondering...what came with the fish?
