Salad in Santa Monica

Where can I get the best reasonably price, but healthy salad in Santa Monica?

Coral Tree Cafe has a fantastic Ahi tuna salad. But for the not-so-healthy, their Cobb salad is phenomenal.

They also have a location on Ocean Park Blvd. in the little mall with the Starbucks, Novel Cafe and il Forno (good neighborhood Italian) at 29 Street.

Second this. It can get a little expensive if you aren't careful, but it is the best salad bar I have ever seen!

Because the heaviest stuff is also the tastiest LOL! Seriously, love Mrs. Winston's. My only complaint is they don't have real bacon bits available. Also, the cruotons are a little...questionable.

Fritto Misto has good, inexpensive salads.

Any salad on the menu at Cafe Paradiso on the 2400 block of Wilshire. The Tomato and Onion Salad at Koo Koo Roo on Wilshire @ 20th is very tasty and not expensive. Spinach Salad at Earth, Wind and Flour on Wilshire just before 23rd, not cheap but an excellent salad.

I've passed Cafe Paradiso so many times without checking it out. But the menu on-line looks very promising -- thanks for the tip!

PS: How are the non-salad items?

California Chicken Cafe on 26th and Wilshire. Very affordable and very healthy. I love the Chinese Chicken salad and Veggie Salad. Parking is a horror but if you can find a meter, you must go.

I like CCC, but it bothers me they don't seem to have sliced avocado (just guacamole).

I also like CCC a lot. Their chicken is pretty bland, though. I only go for their salads, and the veggies + dressing make up for it.

A Votre Sante in Brentwood; 26 Beach on Lincoln in Marina del Rey; Coral Tree in Brentwood has healthy salads, but "reasonably" priced I'm not sure; Real Food Daily (all vegetarian) in Santa Monica has great salads.
