Vietnamese near Coxwell/Danforth?

With the apparent closing of Pho and Spring Roll on Coxwell near O'Connor, I am desperate for a replacement Vietnamese restaurant nearby. Any suggestions?

Hey! Just moved to Queen/Coxwell. And desperate for decent Vietnamese. Is it just me or is nothing out here?

I hear good thing about Hanoi 3 Seasons, which is Queen and Leslieish area (although not sure if this is purely vietnamese..)

I see that they are opening a restaurant called Pho at Jones and Danforth. Very excited about this. I think it's was simply called Pho. Anyone have details? From what I could tell, looks like a lot of work still needs to happen before they are ready to roll. I can't wait. Something healthy to eat close to home.

Update: drove by Pho and Spring Roll last night and there is a sign saying something like "Vietnamese restaurant opening Sep. 2nd". The original Pho and Spring Roll sign has been removed, so I don't think is a renovation, must be new owners.

Good news! I'm walking distance to Spring Roll and I did enjoy it, I thought the meat was always non-fatty (not as tasty though) but the soup was flavourful and I eat tons of pho!

For pure Vietnamese, there's nothing close. thenurse's suggestion, or head down to Gerrard and Broadview.

The closest I can think of is Mimi, on Gerrard near Logan. Definitely not walking distance, but a short drive.

I know it's not Vietnamese, but have you tried Tiny Thai kitchen on Danforth near Monarch Park? It's not bad for the area.

I don't remember trying that one, although any Thai I have had in the area has been really awful. Maybe I'll give it a go.

Jean's Vegetarian Kitchen is not at all awful; in fact, it's really fresh and good.

Yeah, they're not the best I've had, but they actually do use spice and not so much sugar. I had the cashew chicken and it was pretty good.
