Mystery restaurant in western MA?

I'm at a loss to remember the name of a restaurant I visited in western MA about five years ago. It was either in Lenox or very near to. Food was home/comfort style, pretty casual (I remember excellent short ribs). Distinguishing factor-- they had a train set that ran around the wall (sounds kitschy, I know, but wasn't so bad). Anyone?

  1. The restaurant you are looking for is Jack's in Housatonic.

    1. Jack's Grill/Restaurant in Housatonic, run by the Red Lion. Now that you mention it, I don't know if it's still there. They were famous for meat loaf, and a big welcome for kids. Oh, and red jello!

      1. Eureka! That's the one-- thank you. They do have a website so I'm guessing they're still around.

        1. It's still there, but I always call ahead. Seems like the hours are inconsistant - or maybe just in the off season. Happy eating!
