WOWOWOWOW! let me start by saying i've abhored mr. luigi's since the beginning ...but love good ice in the summer. finally stopped by nyicy tonite - we were one of two couples there and it was FABULOUS!!!!! i had peach and blueberry (it had real blueberries in it!!!) and my husband had all coconut...he said it was the most coconut he's ev er had in an ice. and we tasted the mango basil and it was incredible. to say it was a summer treat would be an understatement. it's too bad they p;icked such an odd location but we'll def. get over there more now that we know what a great place it is.

  1. What's odd about the location?

    1. I just passed that the other day. I didn't even think anything of it. Will try. And the location is going to make an absolute killing; it's more economically sound to sell a massive amount of ice at a more reasonable price then to raise the prices, pay much higher rent, and open up in Park Slope.

i wasn't thinking of park slope at all. but i thought a more visable location on - perhaps - coney island avenue - would grab them more business. i hope they do very well - i know i'm now a steady customer.

The key lime pie flavor is also great.

Hazelnut chocolate chip is my favorite. And any coffee flavor. Even the "NYPD Blue" tastes like really good raspberry.

      2. One of our favorite places to stop by right before getting on the Prospect Parkway on the way to Manhattan. Mango Basil highly recommended...just picked up a pint the other night on the way home and it almost didn't make it home lol.

        1. since it hasn't been mentioned, there's one in hell's kitchen as well. the mango basil is amazing, as is the "icy tea" (ice tea poured over three scoops of lemon ice)!

Where on Church Avenue is it located? I would love to check it out. Is it near Ocean pkwy?

i don't have the exact address but it is on church avenue right off of coney island avenue. if you are headed toward coney island, turn left and it is directly on the left.
omg...had the cherry 2 nights ago...it's filled with pieces of real cherries. it was amazing.
