There are no options for the "pass" portion of San Marcos Pass other than the Cold Spring Tavern- and I'm not certain that they even serve it anyway.
There are many good places in Santa Barbara (Jeanine's, Cajun Kitchen, East Beach Grill come to mind) for brekos, but if your intention is to cross the mountains in the morning, you'll have to stop in Solvang or Los Olivos for a morning meal.

There are some decent breakfast options in Solvang if it's bacon-and-eggs you're after, but for my money and taste, the Los Olivos Grocery is the best for coffee and pastry. They probably do something with eggs, too. And they're immediately off the 154.
