Hello does anyone know what happened to the Swinging Door restaurant on Vineland?

Too bad, although I confess I'll miss the place a little less thanks to Kansas City BBQ and (especially) Boneyard Bistro in the general vicinity.

I had very good pork ribs several times. Also, there is something special about a wood burning Bar-B-Q / smoker at a gas station with those "NO SMOKING" signs. That made the place so TX even if pork ribs are not.

Kansas City is nearby there and much better. Do a search... On Magnolia maybe?

Kansas City BBQ is at 10863 Magnolia in Noho.
And do not go to Coley's Kitchen across the street by mistake - because that's what it would be.
Boneyard Bistro, also very good for smoked ribs, yet different environment and pricing is at 13539 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks.

I'm heartbroken. I was on the Swinging Door booster side of the Pivoting Portal.
