Olives in Calgary

jambon Aug 5, 2008 08:25 AM

My wife just returned from a month's studies in Spain, and is craving high quality olives – Seville olives in particular. Anyone know where I might find Spanish olives in Calgary? If not Spanish, just a great selection of olives?

The takeout deli next to Olives restaurant in Victoria Park has jars of olives, a lot of different kinds (the restaurant gives olives for free and they're really nice, about 4 or 5 different kinds). I didn't check the price, but there were lots of different kinds.
I'd second Kalamata Grocery, but I've only bought Kalamata olives there (perfect for greek salad). They had large barrels of other kinds in the fridge so maybe some of them are the Spanish ones you're looking for. They have lots of other stuff too, the aisles are worth browsing.
