  1. Wow, how did you hear that they were closing?

    1. That is news to me, do you have any more information?

[ETA, here's the link and blurb on ELarge's blog:

As for the closing, which I'm always sad to announce, I got an e-mail from Joy Martin, owner of Zodiac in the Station North Arts and Entertainment District, saying that she was closing her restaurant after 12 years. Saturday will be the restaurant's last day. Apparently one reason was the construction in that block of N. Charles Street that cut the restaurant's gas line, damaged the water line, and discouraged customers.

I used to work with the owner's sister. Said sister was always bemoaning the lack of clientele, and how the bars on the outside made it uninviting, how it made it look closed, etc.

When I lived in Mt. Vernon and used to go regularly (3-5 years ago), it was rarely full. When I went two weeks ago, it was quite full, but the food was sadly not as good as it used to be.

Though I would be sad indeed to see it close its doors. I have had a lot of enjoyable evenings there, and some really amazing meals.

Oh no!! what a loss....I am so disappointed. I loved their mussels and crawfish Quesadillas, in addition to the great cocktails. I have to patronize one more time before the weekend.
