seafood store/market

My BF just moved to DC. We are looking for a great local seafood market. Closer to Adams Morgan the better. Thanks so much for any advice!

If you're willing to travel, go to the Maine Avenue wharf. It's worth the effort, if only for the experience.

For something more traditional, I have been happy with the fish purveyor on CT Ave, in Chevy Chase Village, DC.

And for upscale, the front of Black Salt, on MacArthur, is a wonderful fish market.

I think that your best bet - which is not bad by any means, just not "local" and not cheap - is Whole Foods, of which the closest to Adams Morgan is not far, at P and 15th.
