BUSY CHEF, BLUE PIG ICE CREAM, OVEN, PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

They have gone out of business for good and will not re-open.

That leaves a huge ugly hole on Henry Street that will not be easy to fill. The sight of boarded up shops is terrible for the neighborhood.

  1. Noticed them closed yesterday. Don't think its a big loss except for the aesthetic of the closed businesses,a s you mentioned. the curse of those spaces continues. The wine bar is owned by the same person as well, right? Is that staying open?

      Yes 50 Henry Wine Bar is closed as well, all part of the same restaurant group. All gone.

    2. The one around the corner from me on Court and State is closed too. I will miss Busy Chef; it seems like it just opened!

        There was a news story a few weeks back about how the owner was busted for fraudulent credit transactions. Basically he was using a customer's credit receipts from one restaurant to make fraudulent transactions at another of his establishments. He was alleged to have made over $20,000 in false charges. He surrendered to the police last month or so.

        I'm not surprised that all of these places closed down.
