Thursday Kaiser Permanente Martinez Farmers Market

This is the loveliest tiny market and truly a ‘hidden’ gem. I knew the market was there somewhere on Thursday and was about to give up when finally a faded sign was spotted. It s in Parking lot J, next to the Briones building..

It borders a shady, flower-lined sidewalk. There was a harpist playing. Truly a very mellow experience.

Vendors included:
Nunez organic produce
Lujan fruit (stone fruit)
Berrylicious – Strawberries and raspberries.
Le Croissant Bakery
A flower vendor
Sonoma olives

And since it wouldn’t be a farmers market without Sukhi’s, East & West Gourmet or Kettlecorn … there was East & West …the Afghan bolini guy.

I tell you, they must send these guys to classes on how to sell. After inviting me to have a sample, I told him thanks but, I’ve tried his product and loved it. Didn’t need a sample.

“But you haven’t tried MY spreads”.

Ok, I’ll bite … literally … maybe this particular stand has something new.

In the literally 10 seconds it took me to take the sample and start walking away, two more samples were placed in my hand. It was good though.
