Japanese Food on the Big Island?

hungryinwdc Aug 4, 2008 09:48 AM

My husband and I are going to be on the Big Island for a week. We are both very adventurous eaters, and we love Japanese food (not just sushi) which we just can't get at home. Any recommendations? We'd also be interested in trying any local specialties....

On the Kona side the Japanese/Japanese restaurant generally regarded as the best is Kenichi in the Keauhou Shopping Center and the Hawaiian style Japanese restaurant most favored is Teshima's in Kainiliu town.
