Was in the area today so headed over for lunch. The space is empty and the sign is gone. Truely a loss as there are no other good places to eat in the area.

  1. Very sad news. We were there about 2 months ago, and we really enjoyed our meal. Just last week we were thinking about going back. It was a great food find. Thanks Sel for letting us know.

    1. Yes, I got an e-mail from them announcing the closure. I think they did pretty well, considering, but in the end, just couldn't make it out in Palmdale. Really too bad; it's not like the area has an overabundance of wonderful places to eat.

Yeah, I just took a look at their online menu and it sounded more interesting than any of the Cajun Creole joints in the LA area.

It was actually much better than any other place I have tried in the LA Area.
I remember that the owner told us the night we were there, a couple of months ago, that it had been a struggle, but they were trying to stay open. I wish them good luck, they truly had good food.

      2. Probably had a LOT to do with the huge number of residential foreclosures in the Antelope Valley, and the major increase in gasoline prices for the commuters - ultimate verdict is that very few people enough disposable money left over to patronize the place. Maybe if the owners still had any money left, they could try to put one in the SF Valley or similar, more urban environs.
they could probably buy the good Doctor in Van Nuys!

by good Doctor, do you mean Dr. Hogly Wogly's tyler texas bbq'? I haven't been there in years, I always thought it was pretty crappyp.

Is the Dr. for sale? Is that what you are implying? Curious hounds want to know!
