MO' DADDY's Asheville
Saw that they are now open.Anybody tried them out yet???
Overheard a conversation that included their general manager.
He listed the menu items. Really strange, the concept is chicken and waffles, but instead of focusing on deep south cooking (like chicken and waffles) they have a hodge podge menu full of sysco-esque appetizers. Nothing sounded like it fit any sort of concept. I haven't tried it, but was disappointed by what I heard from the manager, it could be a really cool southern place, but it seemed like they missed that mark by quite a bit.
Ate there Saturday night. The place was packed, the atmostphere and music great, and the food and drink was definitely worth it. If you haven't gone yet, give it a try.
When we arrived at about 7:30 there were a good number of families in there, so a good mix of a crowd. More barsy later on, of course.
hubby and i went! i cant say enough positive things about this place! menu, food, service... it was all fantastic! i have told everyone i know to check it out...
when you go you HAVE to order chicken & waffles!!! my husband was in absolute heaven with this dish. i had the chicken breast wih handcut fries... chk was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the fries were perfect!
we went on a saturday. they opened at 4pm... we went around 7... didnt have to wait and had a restaurant-y vibe, but have heard thats its more of a bar scene as the night progresses.
we cant wait to see some of the live shows!
I finally tried them out today. Big Two Thumbs up!!!! I had the Chicken and waffle. Fried Chicken breast was spot on!! The waffle was a little undercooked (probably my fault for not ordering it dark) but it was still VERY good!! The Ancho Honey is the most awesome thing I have ever put on a waffle. I shall be visiting Mo's alot in the future
