near Grand Hyatt

we'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt for a convention next week-end and hope to escape meetings for a few near-by, interesting and reasonabley priced meals - any suggestions?

  1. Is the Grand Hyatt the one right by Grand Central? FWIW - they actually have excellent fried calamari at the bar there. Can you give us more of a sense of what you mean by "reasonably priced", and what is interesting to you? Thanks!

yes, at Grand Central so I know I'll enjoy the food court there especially when I'm alone. My husband will have several meetings that involve meals. When we're together, we would like someplace easy and stress free -pub food or ethnic places usually work for us.

There is Keens steakhouse on 36th between 5th and 6th. There's the regular menu and the pub menu.

You are also near Koreatown. If you want Korean BBQ, I'd recommend Madangsui on 35th between 5th and 6th.

As prices in NYC restaurants vary widely, it would be helpful if you could give us a price range -- eg. $10 entrees, $20 entrees, $50 including tax and tip, etc.

    2. Cibo on 2nd Avenue and 41st--very reasonable prix fixe menu, very good food and nice atmosphere. We live in the neighborhood and go there at least once a month.

      1. You're just a few blocks north of Murray Hill - here's an ongoing conversation of good eats in that neighborhood:
