Best Korean sushi / sashimi?
Is there any great Korean sushi or sashimi in the Bay Area? I've read about restaurants elsewhere that sound quite different from the Japanese style (e.g. Bu San in LA, which Jonathan Gold described as having "sashimi with sliced chiles and whole cloves of raw garlic; raw sea cucumber in fermented bean paste; tuna with kimchi ...").
I tried Kansai, and it's almost entirely Japanese in style. There were only a few Korean dishes on the menu. The only one with raw fish was spicy chirashi, which wasn't actually spicy at all, they brought me a squeeze bottle of gochujang when I asked. I don't think most customers have any idea the place is Korean.

Bumping this rather than repeating the question. CarrieWas218 mentioned Korean-owned sushi places in another topic.
I see that Koryo Sushi, Drunken Fish, and Miyozen seem to have common ownership. Do they make hwe dup bap, al bap, or other unabashedly Korean raw fish dishes?

Haven't been to them, but the ones I know about are Shindokdo, Michi Sushi, and OEC Sushi in the South Bay. But their emphasis might be more on the big spicy, rolls rather than sashimi.

I'd be interested in finding a place that serves a decent al bap too. The majority of sushi places in San Francisco are either Korean or Taiwanese owned, so you'd think hunting this stuff down would be easy, but I know of no places in the city that offers any.
