SE Michigan: Exotic Italian recommendation?

Which restaurant serves authentic Sicilian (black) pasta in squid ink sauce? Thanks!

  1. Not sure, but check out Il Posto in Southfield.

Where is this place? I googled it, and the google maps hit showed me a location in Southfield, but the website was for a "Pi Ristorante." Confusing!

29110 Franklin, Southfield. Corner of 12 Mile. Food is good, expensive and a little too pretentious for me. (I don't need to have an Italian waiter to prove to me that I'm eating Italian food.) That said, I have enjoyed my meals there. When we were there in May the were doing a big remodel, but remained open. I would think it might be done by now.

    2. Try contacting Il Posto in Southfield or Giovanni's in Melvindale/Detroit.

I read both restaurants' menus online but they don't have it. Maybe I'll have to take matters into my own hands. :) Where can I buy black pasta in SE MI?

You could try calling the places and asking if they ever make it or have it on special. Don't just rely on the web menus.
