Best Brunch...

I'm in the mood to go on a best brunch hunt. Any suggestions?

I would seriously skip Brennans.....it was the worst brunch I've ever had and my friends are still upset at me for taking them there. I highly recommend Dante's Kitchen and Elizabeths.

I second Ralph's On The Park and Cafe Degas. I am also a sucker for the shrimp and grits, duck hash and praline bacon at Elizabeth's.

Have not dined at Elizabeth's, but wife really enjoyed her Ralph's shrimp & grits. I tasted them, and agree with her, even though she only allowed me one fork full.

Have read some great reviews of Elizabeth's. You are evidently not alone.

well, i've always been a firm believer in the brennan(the ella brennan branch of the family) aesthetic & their brunches came through for me on this last trip big time. i had brunch at commander's & mr. b's. & they were both excellent. the attention to detail is phenomenal & the food is always great to extraordinary. i expect a lot from the brennan's & they almost always deliver.

Ruby Slipper, off of Canal. Laid back, casual brunch, good coffee and omelettes. I went Saturday, and they were doing two-for-one mimosas with pomegranate juice! yum! awesome service and a nice neighborhood-y vibe.

Went to Patois two weeks back.We had excellent blueberry muffins and brioche as part of the breadbasket. The muffins were outstanding but they only make some based on the no of reservations and an estimated no of walk ins so call and reserve. We had a very well made crawfish omlette, blueberry and pancakes and the rabbit special. The three of us lso had a cocktail each and paid 90 including tip. This place is worth a shot.
