Stratford: Dine Before Theatre-Italian

We will be in Stratford for the first time at the end of August to see Music Man, staying at The Mercer Hall Inn. I need a suggestion for dinner before the 8 pm performance. Our favourite food is italian fare and wood burning pizzas. Any ideas?

Pazzo is great - and it about a 45 second walk from Mercer Hall.

The Music Man is great as is Pazzos', but DOWNSTAIRS only. Upstairs is pleasant but blan Italian cuisine at inflatde prices.

Downstairs is truly great pizza, with enough salads, pasta and other meat dishes to keep not pizza fans haooy.
The Zsa Zsa izza, with red peppers, goat cheese, calabrese sausage and arugula is my favorite, although they're all good.
Open very late, and also sell smaller pizzas at lunch.

Thanks for the suggestion for Pazzo. Made reservations for downstairs for pizza. The menu is more to our liking, do not need upscale just great food and atmosphere.

Pazzo downstairs is definitely better than upstairs. We were upstairs for dinner this past long weekend, and both the service and the food left a lot to be desired. Another great Italian spot to consider is Sapori Restaurant. It is across the street from the Avon Theatre which is where the Music Man is playing. We saw it Sunday afternoon - you'll love it!
