Took 5 folks to dinner for wife's bd and had a terrible time. Where to start? Service was very slow, food was tasteless and 1 dish was sent back being cold. Did I mention the power failure? The owner ,Bob, just happened to driving by on his way to pick up Indian take out (wish we had done that) and noticed the place was dark and came and restored the electricity. Unfortunately! Also, our table was next to the wait station and we had to compete with the spanish help to heard at our table. We couldn't wait to leave. What a waste of $150. It was a fiasco from start to finish.

    A power failure is going to adversely affect any meal you order anywhere.

    I've often said the French side of the menu here is dull (except for desserts) and clearly aimed at diners who are too timid to order Cambodian. "Tasteless" certainly would be hard to apply to anything on the Cambodian side of the menu. What did you order?

      I've eaten at the EW-Waltham twice (in the last 6 months) and was underwhelmed both times.

      More recently we ate at EW-Boston, and thought the food was much better.

      In any case, the setting and decor at EW-Boston is much nicer, more spacious. The EW-Waltham seems to have a problem with fruit flies.
