Westchester Grocery - still good?

Fell in love with Westchester Grocery in Thornwood several months back, would get dinner from them every week. But I haven't been back there in a couple of months and now want to introduce my parents to it. Is it still on its game? Are the tandoor items still good?

Still on its game as far as I know! And I'm with ice cream - I always drop by in the late afternoon, instead of at peak times, and have never been disappointed. I love their vegetarian dishes like chana masala and their spicy eggplant. I could definitely go for a samosa right now... ;o)

My experiences have only been during the week, now I'm planning on going on Saturday. Any noticeable changes on weekends, or is it basically the same quality?

I pretty much see the same quality on weekends. But they tend to run out of certain dishes pretty fast. (But the chef in the back whips up new batches pretty quickly!)

Yes, still going strong, but I have had bad experiences at peak lunch time and dinner time when it's mobbed... waiting a really long time, food not up to its usual par, etc. She really needs help behind the counter then. But when I've gone at weird times like 3 or 4 it's been fine! Love that tikka masala.....
