it is about peanut harvest time, right? what is your favorite source for green peanuts? i'm getting a boiled peanut craving, and there is nothing around my vicinity here in northern virginia. i like the larger peanuts, of course.

the best i had were from near walterboro, sc, but i don't recall the name of the seller. ;-(

I am also wanting some green peanuts to boil, I only want the green ones so I may have to wait about a month yet but have trouble finding them. So if anyone knows where I can get some in Hickory, NC or real close to Hickory, I sure would appreciate your help. I dont want to order any online, I want to be able to go and get them myself. Thanks so much

Bertie County, NC Peanuts in Windsor, NC. Wife grew up there, and their products are wonderful.... we've had them for years and have always been satisfied with them.

I have a new secret ingredient for boiled peanuts-bacon salt. If you google it you will find it. It is actually vegetarian and kosher-I don't know how they do it, but it adds great flavor.

Yum! I'll have to try this out.

For the original poster - I'm in NC and after Labor Day is when I normally find green peanuts at my local markets and stands. I don't know any suppliers that ship.

I know several of the farmer's at the farmer's markets here in Concord, NC sell green peanuts. You might try your local one. They grown plenty of peanuts in Virginia too. :)
