Expectations at Eggspectation

Went out for a very casual dinner during mid-week. So, I selected Eggspectation so that Hubby could see it as a possible breakfast destination on the weekend (I don't eat breakfast nor prepare it, so Hubby eats out on the weekends).

Eclectic atmosphere which was pleasant. Expectations were high with regards to the food.

Oops--a "chicken burger" was bland and the accompanying fries, albeit greaseless, were tasteless.

Hubby's grilled chicken salad with fruit on spinach--well, the mango was bitter and the chicken was okay at best. We requested some bread. A basket of the hardest, teeth breaking break was delivered. when we made a comment, we were at least given a fresh basket of warm, flavorful bread.

Maybe breakfast is the option, but NOT DINNER. FoiGras

I've only been to Eggspectation for two breakfast meals and the second one was not my choice. They seem to think that pancakes should be showered, quite liberally, with confectioner's sugar. If you forget to ask for them not to do it, prepare for a sugar coma.

I agree the atmosphere of the place is nice, but I don't care for much on the menu.
