Austin to Lubbock

Can you recommend some good spots to eat when driving from Austin to Lubbock? I'm looking for some great food experiences and wouldn't mind going a bit off-track but not too much since we're making the drive there and back in one weekend!

      also , there is a terrific BBQ joint in Abilene called Harold's, really good stuff.....by the way , speaking of BBQ in Abilene , if someone recommends Joe Allen's , ignore the recommendation ....

          When was the last time you went to Joe Allen's? They have really upped their game for steaks, though I sure wouldn't do BBQ there.
