New Brunswick Eats?

munchiegirl Jul 31, 2008 01:14 PM

I'm wondering if someone can suggest a good place to stop for lunch along the Transcanada between Grand Sault, NB and Halifax, NS. Midpoint on our drive looks to be around the turn-off to Sussex, so anywhere near there might be a bet. We're not fussy as long as the food is good. Then again we'd also be willing to splurge a bit if there's something amazing that we shouldn't miss. I'm willing to take a little detour for something out of this world.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks so much!

    Broadway Cafe in Sussex.

It requires actually pulling off the highway into the town, but it really is the only place to recommend along that stretch. Sit outside, order the iced tea.

Or you can keep driving as far as Moncton, 30-40 minutes further along, where you will have many more options.
