How dressy is Fraiche on a week night?

Going there for dinner with some girl friends and one of my friends is worried that she might be too casual since she is coming straight from work and happened to wear flip flops with a summer skirt today. Is she going to stick out like a sore thumb?

Sounds to me like her attire is more appropriate for Fraiche than for work! Seriously, she can eat practically anywhere in that, not that I endorse it necessarily. I wouldn't wear flip flops to Cut, or Craft, or Melisse, or Providence.

If flip flops and a summer skirt are the extent of her outfit, she will definitely stick out.

she could walk into Spago dressed that way, and feel right at home - dress codes are basically out the window these days, with very few exceptions, which do not even come to mind.

Coconut Bay in Rowland Heights has a fairly strict dress code. No baggy pants, no white T shirts and no "gang attire."

I dunno about right at home. Maybe for lunch, but I don't know about dinner. Call me crazy, but I find it somewhat tacky to wear flip-flops anywhere but the beach or pool, especially not in a high end restaurant. I guess that's just LA, though.

it's LA, man. that place is really laid back, even if you do get the suits and the stiffs from the studios or the groovers trying to look like they have bank.
Fraich, by the way, is top notch. we went there a few months back and I am itching to go again.
everything was superb. I particularly liked the penne with lamb bolognese.
