Anyone try Pennsylvania Soup and Seafood House in Doylestown recently?

I was checking out this place today but too full to order anything. I noticed they had pulled pork on the menu and it looked like a fun place to eat. Just curious. Also wondering if anyone has tried the wine and cheese bar in the basement of the same building, Main Street Marketplace.

  1. This place is a great find. Keith (the owner) is a top-notch guy and the food is quite good. The veg chili and creamy crab soups are highlights on the menu. Stop in, introduce yourself, and become a regular. I spent a year living above the salon right next door to his place and I was there about three times a week. Do yourself a favor and stop into Andre's cheese shops as well. He's another rarity in the area-- and expert on cheese and another great guy. We moved down the road and out of Doylestown proper and we really miss going over there! He has an obscenely good Canadian cheddar that is almost always in the fridge.

    1. I was there this week and holy cow...great Creamy Crab Soup. One of my co-workers got the Clam Chowder and said it was fantastic. Anyone have the recipes? I'm from San Diego so popping over to Doylestown is a bit of a haul.

He he Deanna! Thanks for the reminder, I have to stop at Cyborg One in Doylestown soon so I'll get some soup for sure while I am there. Was it a creamy chowder? Oh wait I'm forgetting some folks say manhattan clam chowder is not a true chowder. I like it that us folks in the northeast have something to argue about though. Why should Texans and their chili have all the fun? :)

Thanks for reminding me about this place. I saw the menu online and thought it looked great, and totally forgot about it. Wonder why they don't advertise?

      2. The soups are great and they have 7 or 8 of them everyday. The burgers are good too.

Really? We ate there once and were underwhelmed. We didn't have any of the things you mentioned, though. I had some kind of salad and it wasn't very good. I guess we'll have to give it another shot. The service was annoying, but that's okay if the food's good.
