Any thoughts? Tips on what to order?

Pastrami or a burger. Fries. The coleslaw is good. The chicken I had was dried out, but my friend said hers was good, so it probably varies. Milkshakes. Cupcakes.

Ditto on the pastrami. I actually prefer it to the stuff at Langer's.

Yes, I know I'm in the minority on this one. But I've never been that big of a fan of Langer's.

Maybe my parents were aliens, and just like inferior pastrami ...

Don't worry, some people make fun of my favorite foods.

I can't help it if I crave Russel Stover or See's buttercremes!

I'm sorry, sometimes I want fake nacho cheese palstic sauce-sometimes on rice (not that I eat that as often as I'd like)

Somedays I DREAM of getting a spoon and a can of Duncan hines frosting and going to town!

            I love Midori AYCE sushi!

And yes, I prefer Angeli Pizza to Mozza, Boneyard Bistro to Father's Office, and La Fondue to the MElting Pot, Asanebo to Nozawa and so on.

            So sue me. :)

There is no shame in craving See's candy!!! It's my favorite...even over the fancy stuff.

It's actually possible to love both Langer's and Oinkster pastrami.

Seconded. Langer's pastrami is perhaps my favorite dish in LA, but I love the rich smokiness of Oinkster's pastrami. It's not either/or . . .

Not to mention Oinkster has the best French fries in L.A.

I also like the pulled pork sandwich.

The pulled pork sandwich is out of this world. Drench it in their vinegary sauce.

I've had everything on their menu with the sole exception of the chicken and everything was pretty darned yummy! The Ube Milkshake made with ice cream from Fosselman's is the best milkshake that I've ever tasted - period!!!

I go to the Oinkster frequently. It's terrible! Terrible food! No one should ever go there!

(Good! Now I can have it all to myself. Especially the Oinkster Pastrami and the gruyere cheeseburger medium rare)

So tasty!!!.. I LOVE their cheeseburgers.. so juicy! Also their fries are great.. I love it all.. the bf loves the pulled pork too. Last time I had a cupcake it was dry.. but maybe the changed it.. I'm usually too full anyway. =)

The chicken CAN be good - it's just too frequently overcooked, and if you get it to go the problem is even worse. The first one I tried, I had to wait for it, so it was fresh off the rotisserie and a total delight with those fries and aoli. Second was a little mushy/dry; the third, a takeout, was truly sad by the time I got it home. Too bad, 'cause when they're good I like'em better than EPL. Cheaper, too.

I was not entranced with the pulled pork - more steamed than barbecued, and I think the flavor suffers because of it. The pastrami...oh, my. Don't agree it's better than Langer's, but it's much more Real Pastrami than any other fast-food joint I can think of.

Oinkter is good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. If in the area, check it out.
