Gourmet deli in carmel etal

i'm looking for a gourmet deli to get seafood (real) salad, pate, cheese etc to make a nice picnic to go sit on the beach. does anybody have any suggestions?

Haven't been there in years, but Nielsen's Mkt in Carmel used to have excellent selection of pates. Have no idea if that is still true. Call and check.

if you're there on the appropriate day, don't miss the Farmers Market at Monterey Pennisula College. nuts-seafood-produce-fruit-oils-mushrooms-cheese-bread. The FM downtown Monterey on Mon eve has more vendors and 'crafts' as well.
