Anyone know if Carnation frozen malts are available in LA or OC without having to go to a ballgame? Thanks!

Check Smart & Final. I've gotten them there in the past.

Do you mean an actual malt made with Carnation ice cream? If so, check out Watson's in Orange. Here's a post I did on exactly that:

        Elmomonster,
Carnation frozen malts are pre-packaged in large cups and come in either chocolate or vanilla ice cream flavors and have been sold mostly at LA sports venues for decades. They are quite delicious!

OH I see! Well, that sounds equally awesome. Now I want some. I'll be on the lookout. Bummer that Smart and Final doesn't have them.

And only something like 270 calories for the whole thing. We're going to the Dodgers game tonight, bringing in sandwiches from Artisan Cheese Gallery, but definitely saving room for the malt. IMO they are the only thing worth eating at Dodger Stadium.

The frozen-treats vending machine in my high school had those in small cups, and as soon as I discovered them they knocked my beloved Drumstick down to a distant second. I had forgotten all about them until this thread came along...I can still taste them, too! Smart & Final, I'm on my way...

I guess I can assume they aren't a nickel anymore!

I checked with the Smart & Final store in Pasadena (Colorado Blvd) and was informed Carnation frozen malts are no longer available at any of their stores. It looks like my only option now is to get my fill at a Dodger's game.

Curses! SOMEBODY has to have them - surely the distributor doesn't carry them just for that one venue. And as seeing a Dodger game is right up there with snail races on my list of interesting things to do, I'll just go un-Carnationed until I find out...

You can always try sending a message via the Carnation website...here's a link:

              Robl,
Thanks for the info! I have sent them an email and hopefully they will give me some positive feedback.

What a bummer, I was informed by a Nestle consumer rep that Carnation frozen ice cream malt cups are not available in retail stores at this time. Now my question is does anyone know if Dodger Stadium is the only sports venue where I can get them or can I also find them at Staples Center, Coliseum, Anaheim Stadium, or Honda Center? Thanks!

i'm sure you can get them at Anaheim Stadium. I've never had the vanilla malt though, never could find it.
