Hello, I am looking for a specific recipe and I haven't been able to find it. I am trying to make a cake for my brother's birthday. He talks lovingly of a chocolate cake he had at Tour d' Argent three years ago. He says it was the best cake he'd ever eaten. He told me that it had several textures, which was crucial to the flavor. If it is La Tour D'Argent in Paris, look for a recipe for Gateau Marjolaine which has genoise and merinque layers filled with different flavors of buttercream. If not, it might be Gateau L'Opera or some sort of Sucess au Chocolat.
