Chocolate discovery for hounds
I begin by saying that I'm not fond of sweets or chocolate. I was at the Riverdale Farm organic market a couple of weeks ago, and stopped by a kiosk to buy some chocolate for a friend. The kiosk belongs to ChocoSol Horizontal Traders and Chocolatiers (but they don't have a sign up, so you have to look for the hippies with the chocolate). I tried a couple of samples, and decided on tejate, a traditional recipe from Oaxaca. My God! I'm now quite addicted. I would describe the tejate as slightly bitter, slightly salty(?!?), but more complex than just that. I now have a piece or two with my coffee every morning.

I'll stop by tomorrow since I'll be in the area. What's the price range for their chocolates???

Not cheap, but not outrageous. A rondelle about 1/2" deep and 3" across, eight segments, is $5.
