I am coming to NYC and someone I know suggested Casa Lula. It's supposed to be on 52nd between 8th and 9th. I have been able to find anything on it. Has anyone been there and what do you think?
We've been there for dinner about 2 months ago. I was not impressed with their wine lists, which I thought was trying hard to be eclectic but really bordered more on offering the lowest cost wines that they can find but not necessarily good quality-price-ratio wines.
The food's OK and I remember the chorizo and the mac-n-cheese to be quite good, but I wouldn't rush to go back. I feel that there are a lot of other tapas/winebars that are better.
Yep--Casellula. I've only been once but really liked the food and atmosphere. Definitely a good option in the area.
Have been once pre-theater and enjoyed it very much. We ate lightly but I thought the food was fresh and very good. Everything was reasonably priced as well.
