Main Line Bar/Lounge

I am attending a wedding this weekend along with a large group of friends. The reception is at Overbrook CC (in Bryn Mawr). There is a long gap betweent the wedding and the reception, and we are looking for a place to kill a few hours and have a couple of drinks. The ideal spot would be something along the lines of a hotel lounge. If anyone has suggestions for a place, preferably on the eastern end of the Main Line (near Overbrook CC), it would be greatly appreciated.

Third for Maia, you're best bet, great bar and HDTVs

Maia would be a convenient place, it's just off 476 on Rt. 30, and the wine and beer selections are good (wine especially, they have an awesome sommelier there). If you're looking for a bar-type atmosphere, sit downstairs in the Bistro. They also have a very nice lounge upstairs, adjacent to the main dining room, if you'd prefer a more formal atmosphere.

That sounds perfect. I Googled Maia and couldn't find a website -- do you know if they have one?

I dunno, but I second going to the Bistro at Maia. The breads and salads are the best!

They have a site, I can't find it right now but last I checked there was nothing on it anyway. The menu is heavy on seafood.

I think you mean the Overbrook Golf Club that is located on Godfrey Lane in Villanova? There are two hotels just west of Villanova on Rt. 30, the Radnor Hotel in St. Davids and the Wayne Hotel in Wayne.
