Deep Dish Pizza near Vail

I've heard that there's a really good deep dish pizza place in Edwards or Avon, but I don't know the name. Anybody know it? Have an opinion?

If its Zaccaza, most of us haven't been there recently, because in the past it had gotten so bad. I know they have been through many management changes lately, so maybe its improved (I doubt it). And I wouldn't accuse them of having a chef, everything use to seem like it came directly off the US Foodservice truck.

There is a new pizza place in Avon, Ticino in the Avon Center building (behind Avon Liquors). The pizza is thin crust, baked in a brick oven with high end toppings. The staff is very nice and the pizza is very good.

I suspect you're talking about Zacca Za!, in Avon.

If you search the boards, you'll find some discussion about it, although none it it particularly recent. I had lunch there a year or so ago and thought it was good -- not great -- but I'm more of a Neapolitan-style pizza fan that a deep-dish devotee.

Hmmm, the only pizza place I've been to in Avon is Pazzo's Pizza which is good but I haven't tried any of their deep dish pizzas. And, honestly, I'm probably not the best reviewer of pizza anyhow.
