My boyfriend's brother in law is in rehab at Good Sam so we will be spending a few days a week there for the next 6 weeks. We live in the West Valley so we don't normally spend a lot of time in that area. Are there any good restaurants that we should try while we're down there? Last night we went to the Arizona Center and ate at My Big Fat Greek but the parking stunk so we probably don't want to do that again. Any suggestions?

Some options, all within a mile (maybe a little more) of Good Sam:

Thai Hut -- Central & McDowell

San Carlos Bay -- Mexican seafood on McDowell just west of the 51 Freeway

Rosita's Place -- classic Sonoran on McDowell just west of 24th St.

Tacos de Juarez -- hearty border Mexican on 7th St just north of Roosevelt

Los Dos Molinos -- incendiary New Mexican on Washington just west of 12th St.

Pro' Ranch Market -- Mexican food court & Tradiciones (adjacent full service restaurant) -- 16th St. & Roosevelt

Carly's Bistro -- sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. on Roosevelt b/w 7th St & Central Avenue

Trente Cing 35 -- Belgian on 7th St. b/w McDowell & Thomas

If you go to the Arizona Center again, skip the garage, which is very tight. There's usually plenty of parallel parking on the streets north of Van Buren.

Lisa G's and La Piccola Cucina are also on 7th Street and good options.

Place links aren't working for me but I will try again...
