And I haven't been to Elyssa Dido at all - I am useless! I thought Orchard was worth the money, but note that I like a slightly fussy place with a hint of pretension. I was pleased with the quality of the ingredients there, and the portion size (not itty-bitty), and the service was warm and professional. What I can wholeheartedly recommend as a lovely neighborhood place with a great bang for the buck - should you be looking for one - is Cafe Katja. It's food you can't find everywhere else, it's dirt cheap, and the staff is almost absurdly welcoming.
