New Sherman Oaks Restaurant?

I was in a rush so I couldn't stop, I drove past Burbank Blvd. by Kester and noticed a big sign out front revealing this new restaurant, they even were blowing water from the awnings to cool people off.

its right next to Bamboo Forest, does anybody know of this?

Also any word on when Stone Pit Pizza opens on the blvd?

  1. Stuart - was it on the north side of the street, technically in Van Nuys, btw, where the former Hye's Armenian Deli used to be? If so, it will be Baba's Grill, so the sign says. I get gas at the Chevron across the street, and have seen it for the past 2+ weeks or so.
Just east of the Chevron is El Katracho, which has been there for 1 year or so.

Carter, I think OP is referring to El Katracho, on the south side of the street. I've noticed the water sprays on hot days recently, I was tempted to stop by and get cooled off.

Stuart, El Katracho is good Salvadorean food. Try the conch soup!

Where is Stone Fire opening up?

BTW, Bamboo Forest is really great (Americanized) Chinese food! If you like orange chicken or shrimp, theirs is the best.

Your correct, it was El Katracho, maybe due to their new banner and water spraying from the awning appeared as a new spot to me.

Carter was the one that mentioned that Stone Fire Pizza will be taking over the fondue restaurant on the blvd.

I cant wait for that to happen.
