Dinner in Downtown LA?

My friends and I are going to a show at the Mayan and are looking for a place to meet for dinner in the downtown area. Any suggestions? We are looking for somewhere with yummy food that wont break the bank. Oh and sushi places are out since one of us doesnt like sushi. ANY help would be great!

There's Pete's which offers basic American bistro fare - steaks, burgers, salads and some pretty decent cocktails.
