A ZuniCafe-like place for Sunday dinner?

kmama Jul 27, 2008 04:04 PM

I love the food, atmosphere, and laid back vibe at Zuni, but they can't accommodate my party of 6 adults for 6pm next Sunday night. Any suggestions for a place that has similar cuisine, tone, and prices? We're very flexible on location, but it cannot be a restaurant that focuses mainly on seafood or steak. Thanks!

    Lulu's very Zuni-like. Nopa's somewhat so.

Does it have to be in SF? How about the Cafe at Chez Panisse?

Whoops, forgot. Was thinking they were closed Monday like Zuni is.

        Bar Jules?

The chef had her roots at Zuni, so the food is very Zuni-like. Though the menu is quite small and changes daily (they do a good job of updating the site tho, so you can check it before you go). Beer + Wine only.

I agree with the Nopa suggestion.

Beretta is somewhat frenetic, but would possibly fit the bill.
