I need a quick decent sandwich shop near the Convention Center. My husband is going to be there for a conference and has only an hour to eat. Any ideas?

I believe Spain on Tampa St. has sandwiches at weekday lunch time and Bamboozle Cafe is supposed to have good food- but not sure about sandwiches there.

I agree that Spain and Bamboozle, and the Lucky Dill Deli, and even the Indigo coffee shop, would be great for lunch, but downtown is a 10 minute walk, in the heat, from the CC. They have a coffee/sandwich bar in the CC, and as sad as that is, I'd suggest that. If he can drive to lunch, then downtown would be best.

Whoa, wait, he should go to the Publix grocery store on Bayshore at Platt Street, right across the bridge from the CC. Two minute walk, and they have a deli and lots of prepared food and cold drinks ready for take out.

Is Zudar's sill there? They are supposed to have great sandwiches and are near that Publix.

Yep, you're right, Zudar's IS still there--another good option.

I agree. Zudar's is great and the location is perfect for him. Try the Zorba or the West End sandwiches.
